APM to attend Mangulama burial

President Peter Mutharika will today attend the burial of the late Bright Mangulama who until his death on Monday evening was serving as commissioner of the Public Service Reforms Commission.

Mangulama, a career civil servant who worked in the public service for 40 years, was pronounced dead on arrival at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital after collapsing at his Green Corner residence in Blantyre.
He will be buried at his home M’boola Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Nkalo in Chiradzulu District.
Briefing journalists in Blantyre on Wednesday, Mulhako wa Alhomwe chief executive officer Muchanakhwaye Mpuluka said the President’s attendance is in recognition of the contributions Mangulama made to the country.
During the press conference, Professor James Seyani was named acting chairperson of Mulhako wa Alhomwe board of trustees to replace Mangulama.
Born Bright Shadrick Mollen Mangulama on June 16 1947, the deceased is survived by a wife, eight daughters and seven grandchildren.
